Description
B Lab, a non-profit organization, certifies and supports B Corporations. B Corporations are a new type of corporation which use the power of business to create public benefit. B Corporations meet high performance and legal standards and build collective voice through the power of the unifying B Corporation brand. As of January 1, 2010, there are over 250 Certified B Corporations from over 50 industries.
Position Overview:
Leverage the web to tell the story of B Corp community and individual B Corporations
Responsibilities:
- Develop 12 month content plan and create, aggregate, and disseminate through B Corp social media platforms and partnerships, working with the B Lab team and the community of 250+ Certified B Corporations
- Develop and implement process for managing and updating the B Corp blog and B Corp's social media accounts
- Curate and write content for on-line social media platforms (Blog / Facebook / Twitter), tagging and titling content with an understanding of the impact on search traffic and rankings
- Manage Facebook and Twitter interactivity with followers (updates, responses, monitoring)
- Monitor and report on the social media activity of the major B Corporations
- Conduct keyword research by identifying target phrases for both the brand and major B Corporations
- Manage and track link building campaigns on popular relevant blogs and sharing sites like YouTube and Flickr by adding comments and links
- Create and update daily, weekly and monthly reports that analyze campaigns and translate data into recommendations for revising the social media strategy
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies/opportunities that can benefit the brand

Qualifications:
- Passion for using business to solve social and environmental problems
- High energy, self-managing, entrepreneurial personality
- Demonstrated ability to leverage web as communications and community building tool
- Strong communications, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- 3-5 years experience in social media, preferably in a role which required managing external relationships
Compensation: $30-50k plus benefits depending upon experience
