The Oregon Department of Energy is recruiting for an Operations & Policy Analyst 4, Senior Energy Policy Analyst position working in Salem, Oregon.
Position Overview:
The purpose of this position is to serve as the agency expert on wind energy production efforts and community scale renewable energy projects, and a primary expert on renewable energy policy and renewable portfolio standards (RPS). The person in this position will identify, monitor and evaluate programs, policies and practices related to wind energy production and renewable energy and propose policies, strategies, initiatives, projects and operations to promote and foster the development of wind energy, renewable energy and related industries in Oregon.

Qualifications:
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Political Science, Engineering, Natural Resources or Energy Management; and 5 years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
OR;
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to 8 years of professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work experience.
The ideal candidate will posses the following desired attributes:
- Sound technical knowledge related to wind generation.
- Experience installing, designing and/or consulting on the development of wind projects.
- Strong policy analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
