Position Overview
Sigora Solar is an extremely fast-paced company in which hard work and innovation are welcome and rewarded. We are looking for an extremely intelligent, highly energetic, ambitious and hardworking solar sales rep who shares our passion for solar energy, sustainability and the environment to join our team.
We're looking for a Solar Sales Samurai to spearhead our D.C. Metro area in both residential and commercial projects. You must be comfortable with local travel, have a valid driver's license and proven ability to determine solutions for customers using a consultative sales approach.
Responsibilities
- You will work with potential clients to design and sell them the best solar energy system to meet their needs.
- Your role will require direct sales, strong working knowledge of solar energy systems, customer responsiveness, and creative thinking.
- 95% of the job is customer education, business development, community outreach, situation analysis, system design, financial modeling, field site visits, and project management.
- The other 5% is honest no-pressure sales of a financially beneficial ethically manufactured product that makes the world a better place. Sigora's sales tactics do not include customer deception, BS and sleazy high-pressure crappy-used-car sales techniques.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has the following:
- MINIMUM 3 years experience in the sale of a highly technical product or real estate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Mad technical knowledge and serious math skills.
- Persistent outgoing and self-sufficient with a passion for saving polar bears.
- Team players with the "can figure it out gene."
- Comfortable with heights - must be able to get up on roofs to measure them.
- Relevant college degree is a must (will consider applicants with equivalent experience).
- Sales experience/nonprofit fundraising is a plus.
- Community involvement.
- People that can set egos aside and have the ability and desire to learn and adapt all while being confident and comfortable.
