Job Description
The senior analyst will be an integral member of Trillium's Social Research & Advocacy Department and contribute to the strategic development and implementation of the department's mission.
Day-to-day activities typically include:
* Engaging in dialogue with companies in which Trillium is invested, frequently in coalition with other shareholders and non-governmental organizations;
* Filing shareholder proposals (also frequently in coalition);
* Lobbying and public policy advocacy on corporate responsibility issues
* Conducting research on selected issues and corporations to assist the stock selection process
* Outreach to media
* Public speaking
* Client interaction
* Writing for our online newsletter and other outlets, Assisting in marketing Trillium's services.
Qualifications:
* experienced advocate and researcher with a background in corporate social responsibility issues and/or public policy.
* The candidate should be a team player with excellent writing and speaking skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, coalition-building talent, negotiating skills and a record of achievement as an advocate for change.
* A graduate degree in business, public policy or a related field is desirable but not required.
* Familiarity with one or more of the following issue areas would be a plus: environment and environmental justice, media consolidation, sustainability reporting, LGBT workplace issues.
* Some travel is required.
