Senior Sales Manager

AeroVironment develops and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems and efficient electric energy technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Sales management of renewable energy products across a broad spectrum of customers and industries
• Develop and manage strategic accounts in US with Fortune 1000 companies and municipalities
• Create opportunities to introduce and successfully sell our products through a variety of avenues including networking, cold calling, telemarketing, presentations, exhibits and getting involved in community and professional associations
• Experience with C-Suite sales required. Previous experience in any of the following fields is a plus: conceptual sales, solutions sales, and/or consultative sales
• Manage inside sales personnel, SFDC activities and reporting, and develop a value added reseller channel
• Must be a goal oriented self starter who excels in a fast paced environment and comfortable with market and product ambiguity

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Business, Marketing or Environmental Science. MBA preferred
• 5-10 years relevant management experience. Start-up experience a plus
• Experience in strategy, market development, account management, contract management, and the development of alternative financial schemes
• Experience with capital equipment sales or energy is required. Experience in renewable energy and/or technical sales a plus
• Excellent project management skills with a successful track record of meeting quota and time constraints
• Miller Heiman sales training or equivalent. Experience managing and implementation of SFDC
• Available to travel 50% of the time
