Position Overview 

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to join our entrepreneurial team. We are now seeking to hire a Senior Real Estate Specialist/Paralegal to review and manage real estate
agreements, title documents, and all other obligations relating to renewable energy leases. 

Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing renewable energy documents through all phases of development and will have the following responsibilities:   

  • Create and or maintain business relationships with title companies, surveyors, and county government entities.
  • Research government records and online databases to determine land interests.
  • Review title reports and supporting documents for property ownership and any encumbrances.
  • Review and interpret legal descriptions.  
  • Work closely with GIS Department in the creation of various project maps.
  • Review data submitted by development managers and land acquisition agents.
  • Review trust, probate, and entity documents to determine execution authority.
  • Draft contract related documents for attorney review, ensuring all contracts meet company and project requirements.
  • Input data into agreement management system to monitor and record pertinent agreements and obligations.
  • Assist remote field agents with data and contract needs.
  • Support development manager with management of project leasing status.
  • Identify, assist with, and manage required title curative and encroachment resolution.
  • Assist with real estate documents and reporting requirements during closing of a sale or financing of a project. 

Qualifications 

Requirements:  

  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced paralegal (certification a plus) with extensive knowledge in title work, real estate, and leasing document management.  
  • Candidate should have a basic understanding of contract management principles and the real estate and title commitment process.  
  • Candidate must be organized, an effective communicator, capable of managing multiple tasks, and work effectively with individuals both internal and external.  
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance are essential.   
  • Strong computer skills are required, and a familiarity with database?driven applications and interfacing with GIS software would be helpful.
