Description

Reformation is a fast-growing company that is redefining fashion. We make killer clothes that don't kill the environment and want our garments' impact on the planet to be as low as possible. After all, there's nothing less sexy than leaving a big nasty mess.

Position Overview:

The Senior Product Developer will manage the development process for the entire collection. We produce exclusively in downtown Los Angeles and make the majority of our clothing in our own facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our design, merchandising, tech, and production teams
  • Manage T&A calendar for design and development to ensure deadlines are met and raise potential issues with management immediately
  • Coordinate all phases of development, beginning with fabric & trim sourcing, following through to approvals and then final hand-off to production
  • Responsible for generating artwork (where applicable) and coordinating fabric/wash/trim/print approval, especially with regards to our eco fabrics
  • Coordinate and follow up on all costing information with vendors
  • Ensure accurate and timely hand-off of style information to production

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years product development experience
  • Must be very knowledgeable of fabrics, fabric washes, trims, costing, and basic production of contemporary wovens and knits
  • Interest in sustainability a must, experience preferable
  • Background in eco fabrics a plus
  • Experience in quickly generating flat sketches (computer or hand)
  • Proficient in Excel as well as Adobe Illustrator
  • Extreme attention to detail and maintaining accuracy
  • Highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple styles and deliveries at once
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to manage at least one direct report while working well in a team environment
