Position Overview:

Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing engineer for its' San Francisco or Sacramento CA Buildings Engineering Studios. Ideal candidate will have 5 years plus OSHPD healthcare design experience. Both Studios provide specialized MEP design services for a diverse range of clients and project types.

The ideal full-time candidate will have a PE and expertise in the design of HVAC an plumbing systems for a variety of building types but with strong experience (5 years +) in CA healthcare OSHPD  projects. With respect to energy simulation, the candidate will direct modelers to build, analyze and trouble shoot energy models for a variety of cutting edge building system types. Applicant must have thorough knowledge of HVAC systems as they relate to simulation.

Knowledge and expertise in HVAC design, calculations, life cycle cost analysis, drawing production and report writing required. The candidate must be detailed oriented and well organized with effective communication skills both verbal and written. Stantec is looking for individuals who want to work on industry leading projects that are both challenging and rewarding, take on high levels of design responsibility, and are committed to an excellent level of quality.

The ideal candidate will have a PE or EIT or equivalent experience. Candidate should have experience with the latest version of eQUEST, AutoCAD and Trane Trace. Proficiency with Revit MEP and/or IES Virtual Environments is beneficial. Candidate must be able to work well independently and with teams of designers and engineers and able to demonstrate a strong initiative and have a willingness to learn and apply new skills.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years relevant experience
  • Mechanical P.E.
  • 5 years plus OSHPD HVAC and Plumbing systems design experience
  • LEED Accredited Professional
  • Formal Training in eQUEST, AutoCAD and Trane Trace
