Position Overview

Ambri, an energy company commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer. This individual will work on the Engineering team and will report directly to the Director of Engineering. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for working independently to see larger projects through to completion. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for owning the budget, outcome, and timelines of various critical technical and equipment projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Identify the need for various projects and define critical tasks associated. 
  • Work directly with the Director of Engineering to determine appropriate budgets and timelines associated with assigned projects.
  • Design equipment or tests to resolve issues in a timely manner. 
  • Work with vendors and peers to ensure the on time delivery of materials and ensure clearly defined expectations for next steps.
  • Willing to step into other roles as necessary, in order to assist with the completion of high priority projects. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Comfort and familiarity working in mechanical, thermal, electrical and chemical systems is preferred. 
  • Experience with personal project management is a plus. 
  • Ability to identify and understand a projects impact on Company goals and flexibility with changing goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness and organization.
  • Organized, dependable and driven.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a fast-moving team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
