World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is the world's leading conservation organization.
Position Overview:
WWF seeks a Senior Foundations Officer to contribute to the team's annual revenue goals in excess of $11 million by identifying and cultivating foundation prospects, working closely with Program colleagues to write and edit concepts notes and proposals, visiting foundation donors with Program colleagues, producing briefing memos and meeting reports, and ensuring the quality of grant reports. This person will be assigned a portfolio of foundation relationships to manage, as well as a set of Program priorities to focus on.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent programmatic experience is required. An advanced degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 6 years of fundraising or relevant experience is also required. The successful candidate will have experience with the cultivation of donors and writing major government or foundation proposals, be a strategic thinker, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates with a predominantly programmatic conservation, environment, or international development background or field experience are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will write impeccable English, have excellent organizational ability, possess an understanding of standard development practices and techniques, and be able to work as part of a collegial team. Experience working in International or Conservation NGOs or other large complex organizations with a significant track record of producing successful proposals is critical.
