Position Overview

As part of the Consultancy team, you will focus on the successful and efficient implementation of our projects for Latam and our international clients in the sustainability field. As a Senior Consultant, you will lead the development of proposals and participate in business development activities for South Pole. You will work independently and execute tasks related to the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and high quality products and services. You will work on multiple projects, liaise with colleagues and participate in client/partner meetings and communications.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordination and management of consultancy mandates for public sector clients related to Climate Policy topics
  • Delivering high-quality proposals, consultancy reports and other deliverables (e.g. presentations, blogs, workshop materials) in English and Spanish as required by clients
  • Management of small internal project teams for specific consultancy projects
  • Design project work plans, schedules, budgets and delivery of financial and technical status reports
  • Financial and administrative oversight of advisory mandates
  • Liaise with partners and clients on specific consultancy mandates
  • Support business development activities in the region

Your Profile

  • Minimum Bachelor's, ideally in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Finance, Economics. Political Sciences or related disciplines, a Master's degree is desirable
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in consulting
  • Excellent oral and written command of English is essential
  • Experience working in small teams, ideally within an international and multicultural context
  • Work experience related to nature-based solutions, carbon markets, climate policy, and/or climate finance is ideal
  • Demonstrable interest in working on climate change mitigation projects, programs or instruments across sectors and technologies
