Job Requirements:

Experienced professional needed to coordinate Sustainable Development activities for LaSalle Bank, including program execution, local and global reporting, environmental grant and sponsorship recommendations, and identifying sustainable business opportunities.  This position reports to the Director of Sustainable Development.  

The position is expected to operate with significant independence, interacting with senior officers in the SD departments around the world, and serving on SD committees charged with policy development and program evaluation.  The individual will have frequent contact with Executive Management, including members of the Sustainable Advisory Committee.  S/he is expected to be able to create program proposals, evaluate responses, build consensus, and implement programs with minimum direction.

Qualifications:

Requirements include a minimum bachelor's degree, with MBA preferred, or equivalent in environmental studies, public policy, political science or related field and minimum five years work experience, including three years of program implementation experience, in the nonprofit, government or private sectors, knowledge of sustainable development issues (particularly as the related to the financial services sector), familiarity with government and NGO activities in the field, and knowledge of key public policy issues related thereto.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
