Position Overview  

We are seeking an energy/environmental professional to join and help grow our sustainable energy consulting practice. We are located directly across from the Ferry Building in San Francisco, CA though our work spans the globe. 

Responsibilities 

  • The main body of our consulting work focuses on the identification, assessment, and structuring of offsite renewable energy solutions for large organizations.
  • We also help clients establish and implement greenhouse gas emission strategies beyond their electricity use; this work may include (as examples) lifecycle analysis, public reporting, and originating custom carbon offset projects.
  • Our clients are among the largest and more forward-thinking companies on the planet. 

Qualifications  

We are seeking an experienced professional who brings the perfect combination of the following knowledge and capabilities: 

  • Ability to perform independent financial analysis within an energy market context (quantitative analysis, including but not limited to financials, are a key component of our work);
  • Familiarity with energy regulatory process, so as to (for example) be able to assess barriers presented by regulatory rulings and suggest strategies to address or work within them;
  • Proven ability to produce impeccable written deliverables;
  • Experience with utility-scale renewable energy development, from the utility or developer perspective;
  • Desire and ability to attract new clients, along with the communication and interpersonal skills needed to support these aims;
  • Professional flexibility. We are a small company where everyone pitches in, and where we take on the unexpected on a regular basis; 
  • We expect a successful candidate to have at least 3 years' experience in the energy and/or environmental field; and
  • We prefer undergraduate degrees with a strong quantitative/analytical focus. An MBA is a plus. All applicants must already possess the unrestricted right to work in the US.
