Position Overview:
We are an international company involving solar energy power generation and we are currently seeking a Senior Accountant who is honest, hard working and able to interact with senior executives to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely maintains, reconciles and resolves P&L and balance sheet ledger accounts. Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements and monthly and annual accounts.
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures under company policies.
- Performs and possibly supervises accounting function and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results.
- Coordinates schedules, activities and reports with other departments. Interaction to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations or providing technical information concerning specific projects.
- Interacts with peers, outside customers, external auditors and functional group members at various management levels.
- Responsible and coordinate for preparing analysis and schedules for management as well as internal and external auditors.
- To train employees in other functions on the proper use of accounting software and tools whenever required.
- Monitor and identify taxation issues. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting from accredited university
- Big 4 or National Firm experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.
- Alternatively, you could have your CPA, be ex-Big 4, and have worked in industry for 3 years at a company (technology or investment) which undergoes an annual financial statement audit.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and generally accepted accounting principles
- Knowledge of auditing practices and principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations
- Knowledge and experience with corporate accounting systems
Key Competencies:
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Knowledge of Quickbooks or another accounting system is required
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
- Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications, with high-level skill in Excel
- Proven experience working under pressure to meet deadlines Stress tolerance
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
