We have an immediate need for a Senior Account Executive to sell and then build and manage a sales team at our corporate office in Boulder, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
In order to be successful in this position, you will need to perform the following tasks.
- Understanding of selling professional consulting services
- Develop sales/marketing plans geared towards sustainability
- Ability to develop a pipeline and successfully close business
- Provide marketplace feedback, including competitive information, customer expectations, industry trends, etc.
- Secure appointments with corporate executives, architects, engineers, construction managers and administrators.
- Understand and influence the customer's buying and retention process.
- Lead a team selling effort in project development and acquisition.
- Develop, track and report customer/project development metrics using supplied software.
- Actively participate in relevant trade associations.
- Ability to act as a player - coach.
- Lead and assist all efforts in providing customer satisfaction.
- Support Management in efforts including training, consulting and business direction.
- Provide sound "business judgment." Weighing risk and reward in conjunction with the management team.
- Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
- Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently, regularly and dependably.
- Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have the following minimum requirements.
- BS degree technical discipline or Business/Marketing, MBA preferred.
- Previous consulting sales experience preferred.
- Must have experience in the energy, clean tech or sustainability industry.
- Minimum 10 years experience in high level, owner direct sales, with proven results.
- Previous experience with long, complex sale cycles that include complex financial arrangements as part of the sale.
