The U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization of over 6,000 corporate and organizational members that is dedicated to promoting environmentally-responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work, is currently recruiting for a SAP Technical Analyst to be responsible for development, programming and support of SAP ABAP and SAP Web solutions focused around the SD module. 

This position will work with developers, partners and staff to define technical requirements in support of SAP applications and integration of .NET applications into SAP SD. The successful candidate will have an understanding of best practices and an understanding that solutions in other areas of the system may impact the SD module. The SAP Technical Analyst will support configuration changes and ABAP development. The individual will have worked on 2+ full lifecycle SAP implementations focused on SD and be able to provide additional in-house technical knowledge of SD to the development team. 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Assist .NET development team with integration from Web Applications using .NET Connector and Web Services into SAP 
  • Research and analyze data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements throughout the organization 
  • Develop Business Processes and Procedure documentation for SAP user community 
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments to the organization, and to assist in implementing new systems, software and applications 
  • Provide in-house technical knowledge of SD to the Web development team
Required Experience:
  • 1-3 years SAP experience with specific expertise in the Sales and Distribution Module (Contracts, Quotes, Orders, Customer Management, Pricing, Business Partners) 
  • Experience with MM, FICO, BW, Enterprise Portal a plus 
  • 4 year college degree in systems engineering field or equivalent experience 
  • Must demonstrate experience with SAP ABAP, Smartforms, ABAP workbench, Data Dictionary, BAPIs, ALE, ABAP Objects, Business Object Builder, BSP Pages, User exits, Enhancements, Function Modules and Classical & Interactive Reporting 
  • Must have worked on 2+ full life cycle SAP implementations focused on SD 
  • Project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a team 
  • Experience with SAP Web Dynpro for Java/ABAP and SAP Web Services is a plus 
  • Must demonstrate experience with debugging complex ABAP program logic 
  • Organization and analytic skills, with problem solving ability 
  • Excellent communications skills and customer service attitude 
  • Experience with web application development 
  • Excellent writing skills
Salary $70K to $80K with excellent benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid premiums on healthcare and employer-matching 401(k) program.
