Description
The Whole Herb Company; Member of the Berje Inc, Group, is a direct importer of raw materials, supplying high quality ingredients to the food, beverage and nutraceutical industries for over 35 years.
Position Overview:
The Sales Representative will actively prospect and secure new business using advanced sales techniques. This position will primarily be responsible for new business development, building sustainable growth for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Generate major pieces of new business, and consistently exceed sales goal.
- Solicit qualified product development projects and new ingredient opportunities.
- Independently manage account activity across all product lines.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical business plans, to obtain new business for the corporation.
- Facilitate a high level of communication and business to business relationships.
- Establish in-depth working relationships internally with Purchasing, Technical, and Operations to coordinate sales out the door.
- Drive customer penetration through innovation and proactive customer intimacy, 25% of time allocated to travel is expected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 5-7 years B2B sales experience handling regional and national sales accounts is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years food, beverage or nutraceutical ingredient sales experience required.
- High level of technical knowledge in food or nutraceutical industries required.
- Critical thinking skills and proven business acumen required.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically required.
- Excellent negotiation skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proven experience developing value-added business relationships required.
