Apollo Solar offers a full line of inverters, charge controllers, and communications modules, integrated into power-electronics mounting hardware designed for ease of installation and use. Known for its exclusive built-in energy meters, wireless remote data-monitoring and web-based upgrade capabilities, Apollo Solar specializes in robust thermal design and optimal photovoltaic energy harvest which increase performance reliability and reduce overall system-equipment cost. 

Position Overview:

The objective of the Sales Manager is to generate sales from installers and end-users of Apollo Solar products.  Apollo is headquartered in Bethel CT, immediately adjacent to Danbury CT.  The Sales Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, can be based on the West Coast.

We are seeking a bright, articulate, and self-motivated sales professional who wants to grow both in terms of income and career.  The right person will have a strong work ethic and consistent enthusiasm for demonstrating initiative, professionalism, and results. 

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales leads and cultivating customer relationships in order to create pull-through sales to installers and users of photovoltaic, solar electric systems throughout North America.  The duties include making sure that the advantages of the Apollo Solar product line of inverters, charge controllers, and monitoring systems are fully understood by solar professionals who install solar systems and the home and business owners you use them and converting that understanding into sales revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new sales leads and serve as first point of contact for all sales inquires.
  • Identify the Apollo Solar product solutions that meet the priorities and requirements of contacted solar installers and end-users.
  • Communicate effectively the features, benefits, and advantages of the Apollo Solar product line.
  • Track, manage, and close qualified sales leads.
  • Coordinate responses to technical questions with the technical support team.
  • Develop relationships with key installers that lead to repeat sales.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals.  

Qualifications:

  • Business experience, preferably in Sales or Account Management role.
  • Highly articulate and influential telephone manner, demonstrating excellent sales and service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative, good judgment, and commitment.
  • Strong customer-liaison and verbal communications skills
  • Working knowledge of electricity and power electronics.
  • Experience with photovoltaic, solar energy systems a plus,
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Good computer skills including complete familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, high-growth industry.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive pro-active approach to closing sales.
