Description
Sopogy is a leader in MicroCSP technologies that bring the economics of proven large scale Concentrating Solar Power systems (CSP) to the distributed generation markets. MicroCSP technologies are used to create Process Heat, Solar Air Conditioning or Electrical Power.
Position Overview:
Sales Engineers will operate in a general sales role, but have the capacity to provide technical resource into the design and integration of the system. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively managing the technical evaluation stage and driving the sales process. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues to ensure all stages of the sales process are met. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
- Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
- Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Able to convey customer requirements
- Able to travel to prospective project sites as required.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales with some knowledge in the renewable technology field. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for extensive travel.
- 3-5+ years relevant experience in sales
- Experience and familiarity of our products and line of business a plus
- Engineering background strongly preferred
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 (Yearly Salary)
