Our client, a direct marketer of specialty food products to the foodservice industry with annual revenue of $5MM is looking for a Sales Director for their headquarters in Northern Minnesota.
The sales management position would manage the sales staff dedicated to foodservice accounts.
Ideal Candidate:
Someone that currently lives or desires to live in a small town. 8+ years in sales with a style that emphasizes hands-on training. Experience working in or with the food industry. Ability to develop business.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing, motivating, and training 9-15 inside sales reps for direct sales to the foodservice industry.
2. Managing existing distributor relationships.
3. Development of new sales reps and territories/markets.
4. Developing new sales avenues while maximizing existing account penetration.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years food service experience.
3. Energetic and results motivated with a proven track record.
4. Willing to live in small town atmosphere.
Preferences:
1. Experience with Organic certification and compliance.
2. International sales experience.
3. Chain Restaurant Experience

Compensation: $55k base salary + $15 - $20k in bonus based on sales and an additional incentive bonus based on individual performance. Total estimated compensation: $70k - $80k
