Livingreen Store and Gallery is the largest retailer of environmentally friendly building materials, furniture, and home furnishings in Southern California. We are looking for full and part time Sales Associates at our Culver City location. Knowledge of green building practices is a plus, but above all, candidates must be willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
A Livingreen Sales Associate is responsible for daily operational tasks at the store, including assisting customers with product questions, processing transactions at the sales desk, handling phone orders and inquiries, cleaning and organizing the showroom floor, the sales desk, and the stock room.
Sales Associates are expected to become familiar with pricing, product application techniques, delivery procedures, and environmental characteristics of our full range of products. Sales Associates may also be expected to take part in other projects, such as researching new products, writing articles or editorials, or managing ongoing projects for larger clients, attending related special events.
Qualifications:
Candidates should be hard-working, self-motivated, well organized, quick learners. Candidates must be able to multi-task well to handle several clients/transactions at once. Candidates must be responsible, punctual, and must conduct themselves professionally. Our staff is comprised of full- and part-time employees in several locations and so good communication skills are a must. Computer skills necessary - Microsoft Office and Quickbooks a plus. Familiarity with construction practices, home remodel or design certainly helpful but not required.
The store is open from Monday to Saturday 10-5. Full-time candidate available to work Tuesday through Saturday. Part-time schedule to be determined. All candidates will be required to work some Saturdays.
