Description

Our primary focus is retail interior design prototyping and branding, specializing in upscale food service environments and specialty retail; our core clients include the most successful companies in their retail sectors. We are a small, casual non-hierarchical work group and encourage a collaborative design process. Our projects range from exterior architectural design to comprehensive themed interiors. We are ‘green' building sensitive with LEED accredited professionals on staff.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly competent, experienced architectural interiors professional for retail design projects. 

Working Relationships: Works directly with team members. Interfaces with consultants, vendors, and fabricators throughout the design and construction process

Responsibilities:

  • Create professional, comprehensive sets of electronic Architectural & Design Documents equal to or above industry standards for each relevant project.
  • Space Planning & Programming - conceptualize, design, and electronically document programming, space planning, and fixture layouts
  • Acquire, coordinate, or otherwise obtain required project information, including site surveys to compile as-built information.
  • Represent Company on construction sites, governing agencies, client project meetings, or a directed to present the basis for our work for the purposes of advancing the project according with the contracted scope of work.
  • Develop and maintain drawing Systems and Standards for each project and set of typical projects, including formatting, details, plans, data, information, and codes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ‘green' building practices. Utilize this expertise in all aspects of project work to encourage and assist clients in developing and improving sustainable building practices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of commercial architectural interiors and food service industry design, advancements, and innovations.

Qualifications:

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PROVEN KNOWLEDGE OF COMPLEX INTERIOR COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS, PLAN DEVELOPMENT, PLAN DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, AND CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

Educational Experience:

  • Barch, BS in design, or work experience equivalent

Professional Skills:

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks/ assignments while ensuring a high degree of accuracy
  • Interpersonal skills that would fit into a small, close, non-hierarchical work group and excel in collaborative design efforts
  • Customer relationship skills that encourage client loyalty and mutually supportive relationships
  • Willingness to perform in all levels and types of projects from intensely creative, to basic production tasks
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and practices

Functional Capabilities:

  • Highly competent in current AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop software
  • Competency in Adobe Illustrator, and 3D Software helpful
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Highly effective verbal and written skills
