Responsibilities:
Contribute to development of RS subject matter for presentation /education of internal teams. Collaborate cross-functionally as needed with Materials, Legal, Quality, Customer Services, Production and Development to maintain and execute an RSL Program meeting global requirements.
Support the continued development of the Timberland Restricted Substances List (RSL) Program which covers footwear, apparel and accessories; including licensees. Maintain library of industry RS Policies/lists.
Participate in greater Company initiatives related to systems enhancements and changes to systems which impact RS management. Lead in RS system development, enhancements and changes. Maintain RSL Policies and Procedures and communication to 350 +Value Chain partners, Licensees and sub brands.
Manage material sampling and tracking, as well as failure resolution. Manage RS failure process including collaborating with Quality Management and other impacted internal departments. Manage CPSIA Monthly Testing and Tracking for global manufacturing. Contribute to continued development of RS Program reporting as program and reporting tools evolve. This includes communication on failures, supplier performance, risk analysis reporting, and program progress.
Regular updates regarding RS testing results. Manage RSL data in conjunction with laboratories and suppliers. Ensure timely data entry and data integrity. Result and failure data management.
Qualifications:
BS in Business, Business Management or Chemistry and 5+ years of business experience. Experience with Restricted Substances List (RSL) issues, regulatory compliance or similar a plus. Ability to work cross culturally, with mature judgment and collaboration skills. Ability to drive process change with maturity and the tenacity required to resolve complex issues within the business. Experience with developing and tracking research and development projects.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and footwear, apparel industry a plus. Efficient, professional and timely written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to present information and recommendations to various levels within the organization. Highly organized and detail oriented. Above average P.C. skills including Excel, Access, database management, working knowledge of a PLM system a plus.
