Position Summary:

The Research Data Analyst (RDA) is the critical link between our research groups and our Product/IT departments. Many of the RDA's responsibilities revolve around data quality assurance analysis, research data support, Access database performance improvements and product delivery. The RDA reports to the Research Data Manager while also providing support to the Director of the Product Department.

Responsibilities:

The RDA maintains and improves the performance of various Access databases that house KLD's company research and other company-related data. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly quality assurance audits on research data including corporate actions and index compositions. Supports research groups by creating and running database queries.

Product delivery tasks includes:

(1) Creating monthly compliance product files and routines for clients.
(2) Troubleshooting compliance product routines and provides technical support and analysis to client services.
(3) Packaging and distributing bi-weekly @KLD newsletter.

The RDA also works to the improve the performance of various Access databases and may occasionally develop new databases. Defines and develops database quality assurance processes. Creates and improves research process systems as it relates to the databases. Helps to develop training documents for future use. Provides miscellaneous support to Research Data Manager and Director of Product Department.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Information Systems Management (MIS) or Computer Science preferred.

Database management experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access required - preferably more than one year. VBA programming and SQL experience preferred. 

Knowledge of and experience in Social Responsibility Investing (SRI) research a plus. Experience in non-governmental organization (NGO) or in non-profit organizations also preferred.

Salary Range: $30,000-$40,000, dependent on experience.
