Description
Our financially secure and well-funded Wind Energy client seeks several wind developers in key market areas.
They need aggressive, tactful, and experienced wind professionals to find and develop new projects successfully and achieve growth goals. We seek those of high character and integrity that are passionate and see a strong future in wind.
The Regional Manager will work in a face-paced environment with a national support team in bringing to market 10 to 250+ MW projects. The position is a blend of aggressive new business development, cross-functional team interface, strong project management, and the ability to work closely with strategic partners. Pre-wind experience is not function-specific but Greenfield development experience is a plus.
We have other related searches underway* but this one absolutely requires wind experience in the field.
The person who will be most successful and happiest in this position:
· Desires future with a strong sense of strategic purpose.
· An experienced wind development professional who, today feels un-empowered and locked into the corporate hierarchy model. They seek an opportunity for their own piece of the business. They feel capped on compensation and growth and have no immediate path to fully utilize their talents and expertise. This position has a great base, factored upon wind development experience, and a competitive performance bonus structure.
· Understands and enjoys working with landowners to secure leases. Experienced in contracting, permitting, transmission grid access feasibility studies, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and local investment negotiations.
· Strong team building and negotiation skills. Plus the ability to work with and through quite a bit of on-going ambiguity - due to the inherent nature of a start-up business, and the wind business itself. · Aggressive, adaptive, well-organized, and dependable, with strong oral and written communication skills.
· Strong financial acumen.
· Someone who has done business development and has a strong knowledge of wind and real estate matters.
· Can manage realistic business plans and hit financial and operational targets.
· Has experience as a winner and has been rewarded for performance.
· Thrives in a new project launch and real estate/energy environment.
· A CPA, MBA or engineering degree is preferred. Has analytical ability with strong project management background and knows the importance of details and process.
