Special Notice/Employment Opportunity:
UNEP recruiting 4 New Regional Network Coordinator (RNC) Positions to Assist Developing Country Compliance with Montreal Protocol

The OzonAction Programme of UNEP's Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (DTIE) assists more than 110 developing countries with compliance with the Montreal Protocol on the Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

OzonAction recently re-oriented its programme strategy and delivery of services to help build stronger developing country ownership of the Protocol compliance process. This programme providing services directly from the regions is now recruiting 4 professionals to join UNEP's Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP). Based in UNEP's Regional Offices in Bangkok, Mexico City, Bahrain and Nairobi (2), these posts will coordinate their region's Networks of Ozone Officers, manage CAP project activities and lead a team of professionals to help developing countries achieve real and sustained compliance with the Montreal Protocol.

Qualifications:
Advanced university degree in Environment, Engineering, Economics or any related discipline. Experience in working for specific goals in a developing country environment. 10 years of professional experience in environmental programmes. Previous work experience related to ozone-depleting substances (ODS) and knowledge of the United Nations system is an asset. Fluency and good writing command of English and Arabic is essential.

UNEP invites qualified candidates to submit applications for the RNC posts. The posts are funded as part of UNEP's work programme under the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
