Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented Channel Sales - Regional Market Manager to join our fast paced team and manage the Connecticut & Massachusetts areas.

What you will do and what you will bring to the team:

  • You will manage Sunrun's regional partnerships in the Hawaiian Islands
  • You will play a major role in growing Sunrun's and our partner's business with strategic planning, problem solving and effective communication
  • You will be confident and extremely adept at working with and influencing C-level management, giving presentations, and motivating key stakeholders
  • You will be an organized team leader with the ability to direct multifaceted internal and external teams to maintain the focus of driving all efforts to delivering on the partnership strategy
  • You will have an attention to details, perseverance and follow through. As well as possess the ability to work quickly and efficiently, mange time and work deadlines
  • You are a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment; is capable of harvesting new relationships and developing existing relationships; and has the talent to influence high performing sales teams

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with Sunrun Senior Management to define a business plan for their respective market. Based on that plan, the RMM will work with a portfolio of partners serving that market to exceed their revenue quotas and achieve operational objectives associated with the plan
  • Accurately forecast on weekly, monthly quarterly bases incorporating and analyzing historic sales data, comparative competitive and general market data
  • Work with other Regional Market Managers, Major Account Managers and other key sales team members to achieve sales goals and market expansion requirements
  • Lead an internal team that includes sales management, marketing, customer service, operations and finance to ensure a best in class partner experience
  • Represent Sunrun in all regional executive meetings, communications and manage day-to-day business issues
  • Build, manage and support regional channel partners' sales expertise and sales volume

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA and 5 -7 years of related sales and account management experience. With a minimum of 3 years' experience to be selling via indirect channels such as authorized dealers and distributors
  • Experience in business to consumer selling environments is a definite advantage
  • Possess an understanding of business economics with demonstrated ability to assess a partner's business and jointly develop successful strategies that positively impacts all aspects of the partner's P&L
  • Knowledge of and experience with a broad spectrum of sales methodologies and practices
  • Experience managing a portfolio of customers to achieve revenue and share objectives 
  • Ability to be successful in an environment of continuous improvements and stretch targets
  • Ability to analyze information and data, draw conclusions and develop key insights. Most specifically the ability to structure problems and identify solutions/deliverables
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Must be able to travel 30% - 50% domestic travel within the Hawaiian Islands
  • Expert in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com
