Our family story began in a small kitchen in 1971 when Joseph and Anna Maria Severino started making 100% Semolina flour pasta unsurpassed in texture, color, and quality. ~ 

Position Overview

The Regional Brand Ambassador (RBA) will continue to build and strengthen Severino Pasta Company's growing partnership with Whole Foods Market. The RBA will essentially become the "face of the brand" within the assigned territory and will build relationships to increase sales by encouraging:

  • New Item Acceptance
  • Prime Shelf Placement
  • Secondary Displays
  • Sales Promotion Awareness
  • Recruiting and Management of Demo Team 

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with Whole Foods Market decision makers within assigned territory, including: 

  • Specialty, Prepared Foods, & Grocery: Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Buyers, & Team Members
  • Store Leadership, Marketing Leadership, and Demo Specialists
  • Regional Coordinators and Buyers

During in-store calls:

 

  • Identifies and communicates with key decision makers
  • Identifies Severino Pasta products throughout the store; noting shelf space, number of SKUs on shelves, quality of product, and displays/signage
  • Observes product mix in store and prompts decision maker to adjust selection accordingly
  • Observes inventory levels in store, refilling shelves when necessary, and prompts decision maker to reorder when inventory levels appear low
  • Identifies the opportunity to grow within each department, communicates with key decision makers, and follows up with proposed products
  • Completes call report at the end of each store visit
  • Responds to customer requests and feedback quickly and professionally 

Other Duties Include: 

  • Reports on growth, expansion, or closing of doors in assigned territory to Global Brand Ambassador (GBA).
  • Coordinates demo and event support with Whole Foods Market demo specialists and department Team Leaders/Buyers. Will involve at least one weekend day and some evening scheduling during special promotions and/or customer events.
  • Schedules training or does on the spot training of new team members to cover product knowledge and handling procedures. 

Qualifications 

Special Requirements: 

  • Physically capable of bending and lifting to set up displays, adjust pasta sets, move product, etc. as necessary during account calls.
  • Good driving habits are required. This position involves heavy daily travel within assigned territory.
  • We are looking for a candidate that resides in Florida, ideally in close range to multiple Whole Foods Markets.
  • This particular territory will include, but not limited to, Whole Foods Markets in the following regions: Florida, South, and Southwest. 

Knowledge & Skills:

The RBA will be expected to manage and take ownership of the territory and be willing to adapt a variety of roles to grow sales. Key characteristics include: 

  • Outgoing & Personable: Sociable and responsive to others. Comfortable with meeting new people, building relationships, and listening to customers needs.
  • Team Player: Works with Severino Colleagues and Management to achieve sales goals. Willing to grow and learn in a team oriented setting.

  • Goal-oriented: Takes initiative to develop account-specific plans to achieve/exceed sales goals.
  • Fact-based: Able to analyze data to deliver insights to support sales objectives.
  • Innovative: Use creativity to form new ideas in managing territory which can be implemented company wide.

Education & Experience: 

  • 1-3 years of sales or food industry experience, or recent college graduate with sales internship or food industry internship experience.
  • College degree.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Passion for healthy lifestyle and/or natural foods industry is preferred. 

Compensation: As a Regional Brand Ambassador, you will have a base salary with commission. Commission structure is based on percentage of sales with incremental increases and annual base advancement upon yearly review.

This will be paid bi-weekly, subject to deductions for taxes and other withholdings as required by law or the policies of the company.
