The County of San Diego Department of Public Works is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Recycling Specialist II.
Position Overview:
As a Recycling Specialist II, you will independently perform professional analytical and administrative work related to recycling aspects of the San Diego County Solid Waste Ordinance and recycling policies and programs that enable, facilitate, and encourage the recycling of solid waste materials and promote the use of recycled/recyclable materials and products.
You will also help manage non-exclusive solid waste management agreements with solid waste collector companies and enforce the provisions of Solid Waste and Construction and Demolition Recycling Ordinances.
Qualifications:
Qualified Applicants must possess:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency; AND,
2 years of professional experience performing duties in the development, implementation, and administration of a private or public solid waste recycling program or non-burn resource recovery program, one year of which must be comparable to Recycling Specialist I with the County of San Diego.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of solid waste recycling programs, San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances, and California laws affecting recycling.
Compensation: $53,144.00 - $64,604.80 Annually
