Position Overview:
The Quality
Coordinator supports the Quality and Compliance Manager in developing and
managing the Chain of Custody and Forest Management Program's quality systems,
including document control, data management, and auditor training and quality
control. Applicant must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, possess
strong communication skills, be solutions-oriented, have a willingness to learn
new things and have a proven track record of taking initiative.
Responsibilities:
Program Quality:
- Support programs' Document
Control; - Controlling translations of
quality documents ; - Logistical support for internal
and accreditation audits including applications for new
accreditations/certifications/notifications; - Logging formal complaints and
ensuring procedure is followed in their resolution; - Drafting minor revisions to
quality documents (where appropriate).
Auditor Training and Quality Control:
- Point of contact for new contract
auditors; - Management of auditor resources on
website and in the data management system; - Logistical support for auditor
trainings; - Tracking and scheduling annual
witness audits; - Tracking required Auditor
documentation; - Quarterly review and communication
with international partners of auditors' status
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree in relevant field
(or equivalent experience); - 2+ years of work experience in
relevant field/function; - Proficiency with Microsoft
Outlook, Word and Excel, including complex formatting and form creation; - Complete fluency in English and
experience that involves professional written and verbal communication; - Strong written and verbal
communications skills; - Detail-oriented and able to work
independently; - Willingness to learn new things
and a track record of taking initiative.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience with FileMaker;
- An interest in responsible natural
resource management and sustainability.
