Project Manager, Solar and Wind Energy Projects

Position Overview:

Our Corporate office is searching for a Project Manager for Solar and Wind Energy Projects. The position is located in Chattanooga, TN and will require travel to the job sites on a weekly basis. Must be willing to relocate and travel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee solar and/or wind energy projects from initial notice to proceed through final acceptance by client.
• Manage all aspects of the construction project including scheduling, pre-construction meetings, subcontracts, execution, submittals, RFI's, change orders, cash flow, and start-up/ close-out items.
• Participate in the conceptual development/estimating of the project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
• Provide project administration to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Establish and maintain safety programs, training, and good safety practices throughout the entire project in accordance with Signal Energy's Safety Policies & Procedures.
• Implement and track Quality Control for all construction activities on the project.
• Develop and communicate the scheduling plan with all parties involved to ensure execution as designed.
• Work with subcontractors to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all subcontractor pay applications, submittals, approvals, payments, and billing requirements as related to pay applications.
• Submit pay applications in accordance with Owner contract and follow up to answer questions and ensure payment.
• Coordinate and manage the change request process to ensure that changes are accurate and timely from receipt of a change to the production and distribution of the change request, approval of change requests, and subsequent change orders by the owner.
• Build lasting, service-driven relationships with customers and all team members by acting with the highest level of ethics and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Must have a minimum 5 years project management experience on solar energy, wind energy, large industrial, and utility projects.
• Knowledge of technical, administration, and management of all phases of project activities.
• Knowledge of public and construction safety and security issues and regulations.
• Must be able to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work.
• Must possess strong coordination, time management, active listening, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking and reasoning skills.
• Self-motivated, able to learn quickly and independently.
• Computer literacy and proficiency using Viewpoint, Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Certifications: OSHA 10 Hour, First Aid/CPR, and SWPP Training.
• Relocation to Chattanooga, TN.
• Must be willing to travel.
