Cogenra is a leading global provider of solar cogeneration systems. The company develops finances, installs and operates distributed power plants using proven photovoltaic technologies, delivering fully managed, and predictably priced solar energy services for its commercial, government, residential and utility customers. 

Position Overview:

Cogenra is seeking an individual to lead its projects for utility and commercial PV installations. The Project Manager will supervise and administer utility and commercial scale PV Solar Energy construction projects.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, exceptional planning and organizational skills, and excels in relationship building. Experience with PV is a must, experience in electrical engineering project components such as: contractor standards and practices for electrical engineering designs, system components, installations, and system construction. The Project Manager will provide comprehensive project-level leadership regarding the design, final engineering, and construction permitting of tracking utility-scale photovoltaic solar power plant projects for Cogenra.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of contractors performing Solar project installations and leading the company's project execution as the lead on site representative
  • Management and planning of Day-to Day operations on the site
  • Administrating and negotiating contracts
  • Coordination of material procurement and logistics
  • Field personnel management and oversight of Field Supervision
  • Ability to resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Provide project budget estimates and schedules for proposals for projects
  • Assist and support the Operations Manager with the management of contract administration, paper flow, change order management, and attend all project meetings
  • Assure that the schedule items are reasonable, consistent and proportionately balanced with percentages accurately represented for each corresponding component of work

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Construction and/or Construction Management with at least 4 years as project manager - 5 + years construction experience
  • PV experience is a must
  • National Electrical Code expertise is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • BS, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited university
