Position Overview:
Due to tremendous growth, we are seeking a new Project Manager to join our Applied Building Sciences team. Applied Building Sciences [ABS] helps the building industry improve energy efficiency and produce better products by providing training, consultation, applied research and program development.
Responsibilities:
Our newly created Project Manager will support initiatives and projects through the following activities:
- Developing project plans, assembling project teams, providing reporting and communication on project milestones, coordinating logistics, developing budgets for projects and monitoring expenses.
- Providing consultation and expertise to internal team members as well as external organizations and project teams.
- Developing and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial client and partner relationships.
- Representing company at local and national conferences and workshops.
- Conducting research to support current and future projects.
- Assisting with internal/external communications, proposals, business development initiatives and other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have BS Degree in Business Management or related field, plus 5 or more years experience in technical project management. Work experience within the building industry, utilities, and/or state energy offices preferred. Must have demonstrated experience in project research, analysis and problem solving, technical project planning, and timeline and budget management. Superior communication skills and attention to detail required. Must be proficient with MS Office and project management software, such as MS Project.
