Project Manager

Green Building Services, Inc. (GBS) is a multi disciplinary professional consulting practice dedicated to helping lead an international change toward design, construction, and facility management practices that positively affect health, vitality, and economics of the communities in which we live and work. GBS offers a full range of green building services ranging from design consultation and technical services to facility audits and LEED project management.

Position Overview: 

Green Building Services, Inc., an employee owned professional services firm headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager to join our Portland team to manage and provide support for our verification, assessment and program development projects.  These projects include conducting peer reviews or contract review work (such as LEED reviews or using other sustainability frameworks), the development of products or programs to support existing or new sustainability frameworks, and providing research based approaches to sustainable development.

Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for managing project details and delivery, coordinating deadlines and schedules, and reporting monthly forecasting and financial performance. Key to this position are excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, superior interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility as well as both a strong work ethic and customer service skills.

Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years relevant professional training or experience within project management, architecture, engineering, design and construction, urban planning, or other relevant fields, be well versed with the US Green Building Council's LEED Rating System (LEED AP required) and other relevant rating systems/sustainability frameworks. The ideal candidate has strong technical/computer skills, is well versed at multitasking and juggling multiple priorities, and will enjoy the opportunity of working closely across teams within GBS, as well as with diverse national clients.
