Position Overview:
Solis Partners is looking for a smart, technically-savvy, and resourceful Solar Project Manager. This individual will be an instrumental team member of our Operations department in supporting our commercial, industrial and utility clients. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and ensure each project meets specific viability and build criteria
- Perform site evaluation and qualification visits
- Develop preliminary designs to support sales efforts
- Participate in the engineering design process and permit submittal
- Oversee field management of projects and direct various contractors (i.e. mechanical, electrical, roofing) to ensure projects are implemented meeting production specifications
- Provide project management for preparatory, initial, follow-up and closeout phases of project
- Manage all interconnection issues for projects with the local Utility
- Ensure prompt and complete resolution of client inquiries and complaints
Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity and knowledge of building electrical systems and services
- Detailed understanding and working knowledge of NEC
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
- Commercial construction and project management experience
- Strong communication and supervisory skills to be able to qualify and oversee a variety of subcontractors
- Familiarity with solar electric generation system sizing/design a plus
- Ability to solve difficult problems in the field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Well organized, independent worker
- Motivated team player
Qualifications:
- Education: BS/BA in construction, electrical, or related technical/engineering discipline
- 3+ years of construction and electrical contracting experience
- Strong computer application skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Manager)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD a plus
- Travel required depending on solar project site locations
