Description
WorldWater & Power Corp. supplies a wide variety of photovoltaic power systems to residential, industrial, commercial and governmental customers.The flow of work requires management of numerous projects from conceptual design initiation through commissioning.
WorldWater maintains a group staffed with experienced individuals who are responsible for carrying out the company's jobs in a cost effective manner that ensures customer satisfaction and technical quality. Projects typically include the following phases: work survey, specification, quotation, negotiation, design, procurement/fabrication, assembly, testing, transport, installation and startup. Exact requirements can vary from job to job.
Responsibilities:
- Primary contact with customer on contractual, technical and coordination issues, as well as scope development for potential projects.
- Responsible for project set-up, design coordination, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Design integration and interpreting contract documents.
- Business relationship development.
- Coordinate, communicate, and follow-up with supplier orders.
- Gather and coordinate all drawings, documents, and submittals to customer per the established schedule.
- Coordinate project engineering, procurement and installation team.
- Responsible for the selection and direction of subcontractors and consultants.
- Understand technical information provided by engineering and make project/financial decisions based on technical reports.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum BSME/BSEE (construction engineering, architectural with power generation emphasis or equivalent experience).
Experience:
At least 6 years of relevant construction industry experience.
Skills:
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding capabilities in:
- Engineering coordination and documentation requirements.
- Project management practices and tools.
- Strong construction background.
- Experience using NFPA 70 (NEC).
- Electrical generation principles and technologies.
- Electrical and mechanical practices.
- Technical processes and quality assurance guidelines.
- Local code and permitting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical power generation/distribution engineering will be a definite advantage.
- Significant travel and/or non-standard working hours may be required.
