Position Overview

The Project Engineer - Solar Group position is available for assignment to solar project sites across the United States.  This position will be interacting with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-ever changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the pre-construction quality plan
  • Manage, create and distribute contract documents
  • Develop and maintain material tracking list, project test and inspection listing
  • Administer the three-phase inspection system
  • Set up submittal resister in accordance with project specifications
  • Integrate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase
  • Establish reporting formats, protocols, schedules, and any off-site testing procedures
  • Define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-build construction documents
  • Maintain all necessary construction permits
  • Handle procedures for electronic documents, including the development and distribution of Change Orders and Request for Information (RFI)
  • Coordinate the packaging, review, and processing of submittals
  • Expedite submittals to ensure material deliveries are in sync with the project schedule
  • Responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of Field Engineers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of related construction experience
  • Highly detail-oriented in order to sufficiently organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills

Note: This is a traveling position – Remote project assignments are required.
