The Energy Programs Consortium is a joint venture of the National Association of State Community Services Programs (NASCSP), representing the state weatherization and community service programs directors; National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), representing the state energy policy directors; National Association of State Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), representing the state public service commissioners; and National Energy Assistance Directors' Association (NEADA), representing the state directors of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

The purpose of EPC is to foster coordination and cooperation among state and federal agencies in the areas of energy policy and program development.

Position Overview:

Energy Programs Consortium seeks a creative and energetic professional to fill the position of Project Coordinator of its energy efficiency finance work, specifically to support the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU) and EPC's projects involving multifamily energy retrofit finance. Programs Consortium (EPC) is a nonprofit that works to foster coordination and cooperation among state and federal agencies in the areas of energy policy and program development.

The position requires an individual with excellent writing, research, and analytical skills; someone who is highly organized, pays attention to detail, can multi-task, and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to EPC's Executive Director, the Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Attending various meetings at the SEU to understand and be informed of current program efforts
  • Coordinating efforts to build relationships with DC based foundations and leverage partnership opportunities
  • Support leveraging efforts around the Main Street Program and Federal Home Loan Bank programs
  • Manage relationships with various partners and organizations involved in SEU programs
  • Submit all SEU compliance reports
  • Draft memos and reports as needed to update the SEU and/or Executive Director on activities
  • Research multifamily retrofit finance options
  • Attend meetings and conference calls with stakeholders to discuss program ideas
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned and required in a small office setting.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Preferably experience in the housing or energy fields and with either state/federal government or in a nonprofit setting
  • Knowledge/background in energy issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency and comfort in the use of the internet and other electronic and social media as a communications and learning tool
  • Ability to work as a team with a small staff
  • Demonstrated ability to administer multiple and complex projects
