Environmental technology firm with offices in Texas, New York, New England and California seeks an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to learn and assist with a number of clean energy, technology and grant management projects. Emisstar LLC is a technology consulting company specializing in energy, emissions and sustainability for the stationary and mobile environments. This entry-level position is available in Austin, TX.
Emisstar is a clean energy technology and emissions consulting services firm and a recognized national leader in fuel economy and emissions measurement. We guide our clients through the transition to more sustainable, lower carbon and energy-efficient economic activity by accelerating the integration of clean technologies with the built and mobile environments. Our offices in key strategic markets throughout the U.S. provide clients nationwide access to an extensive scope of services in the energy and emissions arena.
Our services include developing strategic plans and sustainability initiatives that utilize renewable energy and efficient goods movement; providing state-of-the-art technical services to effectively meet the requirements of complex energy and emissions regulations; assisting Fortune 500 companies access millions of dollars in grant funding; assessing, optimizing and verifying technologies with portable emissions measurement systems testing and Emisstar's proprietary Test ChannelTM network; and strategically guiding leading technology developers in a dynamic marketplace.
Position Overview:
Primary responsibilities include analytical, technical and persuasive writing, targeted regional and national grants research, assisting with air quality regulatory research, and selective client management. Digital marketing and social media skills will be considered a plus. Some basic administrative tasks will also be required.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel® including creating protected spreadsheets and forms encompassing look-up tables, filters, mathematical functions, data validation, groups and conditional formatting.

- Strong mathematical skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Ability to comprehend and utilize technical information.
- Proficient writing skills with broad understanding and use of Microsoft Word.
- Detail-oriented self-starter.
- Internet research experience.
- Ability to develop presentation materials using MS PowerPoint®.
- Familiarity with MS Project®.
- BA/BS preferred.
- Federal or state level policy development, rule-making familiarity or air quality program experience will be considered a plus.
