Description

GreenShape is a nationally recognized green building and sustainability consulting firm based in Washington, DC. We guide building owners, developers, design and construction teams and schools in the creation of buildings, programs and education for sustainable living. GreenShape has helped over a hundred project teams set high green building performance goals and create a legacy of excellence through their work.

Responsibilities

As a Green Building Coordinator, you will work on multiple public- and private-sector projects including commercial office buildings, schools, multi-unit residential and mixed-use projects, building modernizations, and neighborhood development projects.
You will help to guide design and construction teams in applying green building concepts and technologies to their projects and support green building owners in developing programs and policies for sustainable operations.

You will coordinate the documentation of project green building accomplishments, conduct internet-based research, assist in interpreting LEED requirements, write concise reports, review drawings, specifications and product submittals and work with GreenShape Project Managers to maintain regular communications with our clients. Responsibilities may also include creating PowerPoint presentations and assisting with training sessions.

Requirements

Green building is booming and GreenShape LLC is seeking architectural, engineering, urban planning and construction management professionals at least 2 years of related professional experience and a college degree. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who work well with minimal supervision in a small office environment. Strong professional skills and the ability to maintain a positive, flexible attitude are essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing large amounts of information, have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be able to work comfortably with current computer technology, especially MS Excel. Familiarity with MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and basic web design skills would be beneficial. For those seeking architectural licensure, please note that GreenShape does not currently perform design services.

Our office is centrally located near metro, restaurants and shopping and national cultural sites. GreenShape offers a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and full benefits including an employer-sponsored retirement plan.
