Project Architect

Position Overview:

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are talented designers with strong communication and design skills. Ideal candidate will be a well-spoken, organized individual capable of multi-tasking. Applicants should be thorough and detail-oriented, with ability to oversee multiple short- and long-term tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be a licensed architect in the state of NY
• Master of Architecture degree required
• Candidate must have 8 - 10 years of experience in construction documentation including the building exterior envelope.
• Knowledgeable in green technology and sustainable building practices and systems. LEED accreditation a plus.
• Must have extensive knowledge in preparation of concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and specifications, NYC DOB filing drawings and construction administrations including RFI response, shop drawing review, etc. Must have international building document experience with a full technical knowledge of exteriors, building systems, new construction and renovation.
• Must have NYC construction document experience with a full technical knowledge of exteriors, building systems, new construction and renovation.
• Experience in historic renovation project is a plus.
• Demonstrates knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, related engineering principles and international building codes.
• Professional proficiency in Auto-CAD, 3-D modeling, Rendering, Adobe CS suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), and Microsoft Office suits (word processing and spreadsheet) programs.
