Position Summary:
The successful candidate will oversee all phases of project development and implementation for projects of low to medium complexity and will be responsible for all aspects of program planning, design, implementation and day-to-day management to ensure program objectives, goals, targets and implementation strategies are achieved and executed within budget, on time and in accordance with company and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Researching, analyzing, developing, implementing and managing one or more energy efficiency programs for SCEs residential customers;
- Planning, implementing, and overseeing program budgets, scope, schedule, contracts, subcontracts, customer relations, quality control, results tracking and internal and CPUC reporting;
- Serving as the subject-matter expert on technical and procedural aspects of the program(s): working closely with program analysts and other groups within SCE, including customer account management teams, marketing, law, corporate communications, information technology, accounts payable, procurement, and the customer call center, as well as with SCEs residential customers, third-party energy efficiency service providers, and other California investor-owned utilities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Business or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience.
- Must possess a minimum of five years experience on organizational programs, contract management, or project management, in addition to a minimum of two years supervisory or project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing and implementing small to medium projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance, as well as some experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing detailed budgets, schedules, scope of work and implementation plans for energy services, programs and products.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and carrying out implementation strategies, initiating operations, monitoring and reporting results.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results. - Demonstrated knowledge of energy-efficiency practices, energy efficiency programs, and CPUC rules, policies and oversight role in relation to energy efficiency programs. - Demonstrated ability to adjust to react to unforeseen situations and marketplace conditions, and deliver measurable results within budget, on time and in accordance with company and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to appropriately identify and respond to client s business needs, and facilitate the presentation of recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information, integrate people processes, systems, and technologies, and make strategic decisions regarding project scope, impact, policy, development, and implementation.
- Demonstrated the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, project personnel and all levels of management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results.
- Must be proficient in business software applications, including MS- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
