NC GreenPower is an independent, nonprofit organization established to improve North Carolina's environment through voluntary contributions toward renewable energy.
Our mission is to supplement the state's existing power supply with more green energy - electricity generated from renewable resources like the sun, wind and organic matter. We are located on NCSU's beautiful Centennial Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Position Overview:
As a Program Manager, you will manage the NC GreenPower program and provide leadership to the team through strategic business planning, program development, and coordination and oversight of daily operations. You will use your exceptional communication, organization and interpersonal skills to ensure efficient operations and workflow within the program.
Responsibilities will include developing and implementing business strategies that support NCGP's mission and corporate marketing plan, providing financial managment of the program, making program and process improvements, and conducting program expansion acitivities. Should be comfortable with making presentations to the public and working with the press.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 5 years relevant experience required. MBA accepted in lieu of some work experience. Specific experience in business and program management preferred; organizational skills essential. Experience in the field of renewable energy a plus. Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office) required.
Must have have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as attention to detail. Must be a self-starter able to work independently or as a team. Initiative and commitment to customer service essential.
