Description
The Liz Claiborne - Art Ortenberg Foundation, a privately funded body dedicated to the survival of wildlife and wildlands and to the vitality of human communities with which they are inextricably linked, is seeking a Program Assistant to assist in overall management and administration of foundation programs throughout the developing world and the Rocky Mountain west.
Qualifications
The required qualifications for the position include, but are not be limited to, the following: an advanced degree with strong emphasis on applied conservation; minimum of two years of conservation experience, preferably a mixture of on-the-ground work as well as in-house administrative and support responsibilities; good writing and communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and brevity; high level of competence using Microsoft Office software and internet based search engines. The position requires well-practiced critical thinking skills, a habit of rigorous self-evaluation, ungrudging willingness to admit error and move on, and a passionate commitment to conservation. This position is located in New York City and will require occasional travel.
