Robert Brooke Zevin Associates, Inc. (RBZA), a socially responsible investment firm located in Boston, Massachusetts, seeks a talented Portfolio Manager to assist in all aspects of running its highly successful business, which serves individual investors, institutions and family foundations.
Robert Zevin pioneered the field of socially responsible investing (SRI), adding social justice advocacy to standard financial objectives. In the mid-1970's he created Boston-based US Trust's socially responsible investment division and led it for many years before incorporating RBZA in 1997. Clients are located nationwide with a concentration in Boston and the Northeast corridor. The firm has a small staff to handle securities analysis, client service and operations.
The firm's investment performance record has been exceptional and RBZA currently has over $200 million in assets under management, predominantly in equity accounts. Robert Brooke Zevin, owner and president, wishes to continue providing his current clients with superior performance and to grow this thriving enterprise.
To accomplish these goals, the firm offers an exciting opportunity for a new Portfolio Manager to help with asset allocation, industry sector selections, securities analysis, investment policy, client communication, new business and general management.
The successful candidate can anticipate advancing rapidly to a senior management and significant ownership position in the firm.
The firm employs a risk-averse, top-down investment style. For its portfolios RBZA focuses on well-managed companies with sustainable business practices that are screened for social and environmental practices as well.
RBZA is looking for an individual who is able and eager to provide exceptional and unconventional investment results, client service, and social change leadership. The successful candidate will have five or more years of experience and a strong knowledge of investments. An advanced degree in finance or economics or a CFA is highly desirable.
