We are looking for individuals interested in political action for the environment. Those selected for the six-month, full-time Political Action Internship will research congressional voting records for LCV's annual Scorecard, follow and research important environmental legislation, study and report on congressional candidates, and assist in LCV's political program work.
Individuals with imagination and initiative who can work independently to design and execute important projects are needed. Interns must have experience with word processing and spread-sheet applications. A strong interest in electoral politics is required. Election campaign and Internet experience are pluses.
Interns work directly with leaders of numerous national and state environmental organizations, congressional staffs, representatives of the media and congressional candidates. LCV internships provide a unique opportunity for exposure to a broad cross section of national environmental groups. Interns participate in all the day-to-day activities of the office and are treated as full-time staff. These internships are usually offered to recent college graduates.
