Position Overview:

Community Energy, a leading national wind energy marketer, is seeking an energetic leader and self-starter with a passion for promoting clean energy in the PECO utility territory. Community Energy has partnered with electricity supplier Verde Energy to offer a program that enables PECO electric customers to easily and affordably support wind energy development in Pennsylvania. Help promote clean, home-grown 100% wind power and make a difference by leading Community Energy's sales and outreach campaign in the greater Philadelphia area! This is a grassroots effort and lots of fun.

Responsibilities:

• Enroll new customers in the 100% PA Wind Power program in the PECO utility territory.
• Lead grass-roots sales and outreach campaign in the greater Philadelphia area
• Responsible for meeting direct sales and marketing goals
• Manage day-to-day activity, operations and scheduling for 100% PA Wind outreach team
• Manage an existing part-time team of 2-3. Hire and train additional team as necessary
• Organize direct outreach and education efforts throughout the PECO utility territory
• Weekend work is required

Sales and marketing channels may include:

• Event marketing
• Tabling at retail locations and Greenmarkets
• Presenting information to community/environmental groups
• Grass-roots networking through local organizations/neighborhoods/residential buildings
• Community-based web marketing

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• Grass-roots Sales, Marketing, Outreach or Campaign experience
• Interest in or knowledge of renewable energy industry
• Desire to make a difference
• Familiarity with green / clean energy efforts at the grass roots level in and around Philadelphia
• Bachelor's degree Marketing, Business, or a related field
• Professional presence and strong communication skills
• Ability to perform at a high level with significant autonomy and maintain flexibility for changes in focus given market conditions
• Goal-oriented performance philosophy; ability to manage to the goal and maintain priorities

Compensation: Compensation is results oriented with anticipated first year income of $60,000+. Excellent benefits offered after 90 days.
