Description
Norwich Meadows Farm started in 1998 on a half acre parcel behind our house. During the first 2 years of operations, we did business only in upstate New York.
In the year 2000, the current partners in Norwich Meadows Farm, LLC., decided to expand the farm with the vision of creating a community supported by the farm and other small local businesses.
Today, that vision is becoming a reality. The farm acreage has expanded significantly to an area of over 35 acres. We have a presence in a number of markets including green markets in New York City and a growing list of community supported groups (CSAs) in New York City and Norwich.
Qualifications:
- Ability to direct and coordinate all staff activities;
- Quality management;
- Greenhouse, field, and packinghouse management;
- Communication and information management;
- Marketing management and sales
- Physical fitness with hands-on abilities.
The candidate should be both disciplined and focused, and posses a 4-year degree in agriculture or a related food industry field. A driven self-starter will find this to be a great opportunity. At a minimum, candidates must have at least 4 years of verifiable experience in commercial agriculture or related food industry.
