Operations Manager

Metech Recycling is a leading e-waste recycler providing secure and environmentally sound recycling services to our clients, which include many Fortune 100 Companies. Our processing plants employ a combination of manual disassembly and mechanical processing to recycle electronic products into recyclable scrap commodities. Position Overview:

Metech Recycling, Inc. is currently seeking an Operations Manager. Responsibilities include meeting production goals, compliance with all work procedures and health & safety practices, purchasing, warehouse management, shipping and receiving, administrative duties and data tracking associated with the operation, and community relations.

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. 

Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate all plant operations in accordance with established Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable operation.
• Meet or exceed material processing and product shipping targets.
• Insure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards and regulations, as well as customer requirements.
• Run the plant in accordance with Metech Quality Management Systems, actively using these tools to engender an attitude of continual improvement at the facility.
• Manage the plant operating budget.
• Manage staffing needs in order to meet or exceed the processing and shipping expectations.
• Manage all plant maintenance activity; interface with all service, equipment, & supplies vendors.
• Interface with Metech management and departments, as required, to ensure customers' materials processing requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Manage all processing data input to central computer system; interface with customer service and Metech IT personnel as required.
• Upholds a polite and courteous demeanor when working with customers and company employees.
• Carry out interviews, hiring, evaluation and disciplinary actions for all operations staff.
• Develop new systems, methods, materials markets to run operation efficiently and competitively.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in a business or technical field preferred.
• Industrial Management or Engineering is a plus.
• Alternatively, a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Computer skills including proficiency with MS Office software required.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality Management Systems and standards is preferable.
• The ideal candidate will have both warehouse operations management and light industrial (manufacturing) experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.

Compensation: $50,000 + depending on experience. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life, STD, AD&D, 401K, and Vacation.
