Position Overview 

All around the world, our oceans are in crisis. Three quarters of global fish stocks are suffering from overfishing and 90% of top marine predators are already gone.

Destructive fishing practices destroy critical ocean habitats, pirate fishing harms global fish stocks and as the ocean becomes more vulnerable-it will succumb more quickly to the harmful effects of global warming. Whale slaughter continues to put endangered species at risk and pollution from land-based sources is turning the oceans into a dumping ground.

Join the Oceans team and work together to save the World's oceans. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage research projects
  • Data entry as needed
  • Quickly develop knowledge of oceans, fishing, and other campaign issues
  • Assist in other projects as needed
  • Online research on companies and policies related to the fishing industry
  • Fact-checking
  • Data compilation
  • Writing factsheets and internal documents
  • Assistance with various projects, events, activities, and logistics
  • General administrative support
  • Other duties as apparent 

Qualifications 

Desired Skills:

  • Critical thinking and time-management skills
  • Able to keep a level head in a fast-paced campaign environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong online research skills
